Wen Anne, Sasha, and Marcy were being transported to amphibia they crossed paths with Arecas. It made Pokémon that matched who they are, for protection and to bond with. Anne and her and new partners have to survive in the world of Amphibia, that is inhabited by frogs, newts, and toads along filled with dangers on every corner.
