Limerence is often mistaken for love. It happens when you meet someone and become obsessively invested in them. You want to know everything about them, you want them to be yours, and you convince yourself that this must be love. But in reality, it's not. It's a psychological state, one that needs to be stopped before it turns into something destructive-something that can ruin another person's life. That's what happened with me and him. I thought he loved me until he didn't. I believed we were destined to hold each other's hands until death do us part. But that wasn't the case. How do you move on from something so draining? How do you stop loving someone who was never in love with you to begin with?
