As Neil Perry's cousin from France arrives in Essex she would never have thought to ever find love again. After she has been cought with a boy in bed, he has been sent to a military school and she was suspended for six weeks and sent home. Now she's under the strict control of her uncle and aunt, who have taken her in since her parents left her and that don't tolerate this reckless behaviour anymore. But as she can't suppress her true self, she finds a way to sneak out to Welton Academy where she gets introduced to the Dead Poets Society, a group of boys, including her cousin, that want to make more of their lifes than just doctors and attorneys. Especially this one adventurous boy catches her attention and a dangerous romance begins to flourish.
