I dragged my nails lightly over his chest, slow, my eyes locked on his. "You told me I was in control, remember?" My voice dipped lower, sultry, daring. I leaned close enough that my lips brushed his ear. "Then say it, baby. Say you're my bitch." A dark laugh rumbled from his lips, low and sinful, the kind that made my stomach flip. His eyes didn't waver, didn't blink. "I'm your bitch," he said...calm, but hot as fuck. The words rolled off his tongue like he'd been waiting to say them, and God, the way he said it almost made me melt right there.

cover by @JaelynnMoore 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥 It's so much easier to spread lies about people than it is to spread the truth. That's what Gabriel knows to be true, at least. He was never good at being alone, but it became something he was used to. After everything he'd gone through, he craved solitude. Until she showed up. She wiggled her way right into his heart and now all he craved was her. 𝐀𝐥𝐲𝐧𝐚 Moving to a small lakeside town in Washington was not where Alyna saw her life taking her. She also didn't expect that she'd fall so hard for the brooding mechanic who lived there. Everyone tells her that she should stay away from him. All of the rumors say that he's dangerous, but all she ever feels with him is safe. With obstacles at every turn, will their love be enough to endure even the worst challenge they'll face? Dalaric "Ricky" Mikael was known for two things; being the country's best assassin and being a silent brute. His demons enveloped him in darkness and he saw no end of any tunnel. Until a girl, who's weird and wears nothing but a pair of black jeans and t-shirts that are too big for her, called him pretty. "It's not." He shocks me again and my smile gets wider as happiness flushed through me. Seeing him understand why I'm upset is mentally refreshing. The people who hurt me don't understand. Even mama doesn't. I can tell from the new wounds every week. I move forward and hug his slim waist tightly while smushing my face into his very warm chest. His turtleneck is soft under my chin. His hands lay by his side and I use my own to bring them around my waist. Our height difference makes it only a bit harder for him to put his chin on my head. Dalaric remains tense but but holds me tighter when I try to pull away. "This is what friends to, I think. They hug, right?" I ask, tapping my chin in thought. He seems just as lost as me with his blank expression and slight confusion. He tries to pull me back but I shake my head and he glares at me. I boop his nose and grin at his cute glare. Aw.
