A stalker appeared, It was quickly revealed there was a stalker when photos across social media platforms had shown a person with a white mask on happened to be everywhere he was at. Other countries, shows, fan meet-ups, etc. At first, netizens thought it was just a coincidence, but more stuff pointed out there were a stalker. Myeong-Bin didn't take this seriously and had many of these cases before. When his home got robbed and destroyed, they found a note threatening to kill him. That's when he was sent by his parents out of the country to the States to study abroad when he turned 18. He didn't come back until 2 years later.
