Ever since I was a child, I thought that I was jealous of other girls. I hated their sparkly eyes, their soft hair and how their giggles sounded like the sweetest of love songs as it escaped their plump lips. However, as time went on, I realised that I actually wasn't jealous of other girls. I didn't hate them either. I loved girls, actually... Except for Reese Miller. I hated her.

There is also some mystery in it as well. I would also like to warn you of some bad words and some blood/gore. You have been warned.

When Cal McCarthy first laid her eyes on Grace Jordan, she knew exactly what type of girl she was. Stuck-up, controlling, feared by her classmates - in other words, a mean girl. Every school has one, and Cal wasn't the type to be intimidated by such a cliche. And the moment she talked back to Grace was the moment she started a war with the school's ice queen. I was never the cool girl... Never the centre of attention. Hell, the first party I ever went to, it was because Kelly dragged me to it and I was 17! Oh, Kelly... Kelly was my first love, my first everything but once we finished high school, we parted ways. My plans were very clear, go to university, have fun, go to parties, maybe fool around at some point when missing Kelly got too much for me to handle... , I don't know, the typical university life you see in movies. However, it was nothing like it. I was struggling to keep up with my assignments, with my classes, with all the drama, with the parties, with Kelly, with the people, with Pokemon Go, with everything. I couldn't keep up with anything. And then... Eleanor Williams did what she does best. She came out of nowhere and plant herself in the middle of my world and like a very fucking annoying tree, she set roots and wouldn't move. And then I found myself, God kill me now, enjoying being around Eleanor Williams. I found myself watering the fucking tree even when I knew it'd only make the roots grow deeper until there was no way of removing it. (Yes, sometimes I make very shitty metaphors, you'll get use to it...) But just because I was, much to my dismay, enjoying Eleanor Williams's company, it didn't mean she wanted me around.

"Just wondering, Shoemaker. Are you going to tell your parents? Or should I?" When I was little, I was terribly afraid of heights. One day, in a bleak attempt to rid me of this, my father climbed onto the roof of our one story house with me on his back. I may have been hyperventilating, but otherwise I was doing well- until my foot slid across the shingles. It was only a foot or two that I moved, but my heart stopped. Right now, I feel like I've slid ten feet down the roof of my house on a bitterly cold day. "Because, last I remember, aren't they kind of conservative?" he continues. August is a 16-year-old closeted bisexual girl. When a girl moves in next door, her calm life is slightly shaken, and then turned upside down. Because she isn't just any girl next door: Emily is a gorgeous, red-haired, baseball-playing, fully out-and-proud lesbian. When the two girls grow close, things begin to change in their small town. ***Cover made by Emmy07*** (FICTION) (ROMANCE) (HUMOR) (GIRLxGIRL) (GIRLxBOY) (C) 2012 S.W. Stromberg. All Rights Reserved.
