Right after the Oni attacked something even worse invaded. Even a tornado of creation couldn't stop them. Ninjago sooned turned into the Kingdom of Kalama. Most of the Ninja were left alone as long as they didn't interfere except one. Kai soon become the Kings property and nothing was going to change that.

The rope incinerated. Kai's weight dropped. Any strand of conscious thought that he'd had were gone in a flash as he fell. He felt his body ignite without his command - it must've been his core speaking, his heart. [After all, he'd always lived by emotion hadn't he?] His flames led him to Cole, just below him. Their bodies crashed together, and anyone watching from the Bounty rail would only see one thing. A flaming ball of pure fire being swallowed by darkness. In other words, my recreation of Season 10's heart-stopping Episode 3. Cole falls, but Kai falls with him, leading them on a desperate journey through the darkness - injuries and all - to find their family again.

What happens when our beloved fire ninja has an accident during a mission and goes missing, but with a different appearance? How do the ninja deal with this small flame, child, and fiery friend?
