The Anabade is a tribe of borrowers who live amongst humans. Like all other borrowers, they avoid the gigantic beats at all costs. But desperate times of food shortages and a harsh winter call for desperate measures. Jamie is your average borrower; he follows the rules of the Anabade and does his part to protect and provide for his family. Adeline is the chiefs daughter and is training to one day take her father's place and lead her tribe. Her duty is to find that balance between remaining hidden and to continue borrowing. Rules must be broken and lines must be crossed, but at what cost?
