Morgan Arleigh can see the future. Intense visions that allow her to see the future more clearly than any other seer, let alone one who's only fourteen years old. Unable to control what she sees, she drops a letter into her mailbox. Her letter is answered, and the wizards of Makhell come to find apprentices in her town. Savvy Bird hears of their appearance, and leaps on a chance to get what she's wanted for a while. Powerless, Savvy heard that the Makhell wizards could help her learn if she was honored as one of their apprentices. So she heads straight for the convention. Amber Jolin has weak healing powers. However, as a deadly illness hovers over the head of her little brother, she knows she has to do something as he begins to sink into a coma. At the convention she meets Savvy and Morgan, where they hit it off. However, none of the three girls are chosen as an apprentice - but they each get a letter from a school called haunted, evil, and long-abandoned. Desperate for help, each with their own reasons, they go and learn at the Forbidden School. They soon find out what they have learned and known all their lives is nothing like the truth. The wizards of Makhell have some deadly secrets, and the girls can stop them. In a coming-of-age story taking place in an alternate dimension, it explores the ties of friendship, the power of lies, and the ability to change the present - and alter the future.

Dean Winchester's family moves around a lot, and by a lot I mean at least 6 times a year. Dean and his little brother, Sam, have never been in school more than 3 weeks, until his last year in high school. Just like his father, he has drinking problems and he had issues with his father with an "incident" that happened a long time ago... Castiel Novak was never one to stick out. In fact, his family bred many brothers who like to "stick out". He didn't have any friends aside from his elder brother, Gabriel, who didn't even go to to school with him. Good grades, college credits, and perfect attendance were on his side, and he was so ready to escape for college to get away from his dysfunctional family. I wonder what will happen when these two become friends.
