Complete -----This story is PG-13. A quirk in the system updates it as Rated-R. --- A childhood friend needed a place to stay until he knew where he wanted to live. I offered him my spare room. What I didn't expect was that it would include me spending more time with her than my very own roommate. She's not my type. She's not for me. Then, why can I not keep her out of my head? She can't be with me, she can't be here, she deserves so much better, but I can't lose her. But, how do I tell my new roommate that the girl that has turned my world upside down is his little sister? Detective Robert Holden Daniels is conflicted by the woman he wants and the type of woman he thinks he needs. The battle that broils beneath his quiet brooding exterior has the potential to destroy two lives-his and the woman he loves.

The Wattys 2014 "Undiscovered Gem" Stella Henry is afraid of a lot of things. As a child, her simple, comfortable home life did not prepare her for the sort of people whom she would meet as a younger teenager. Now eighteen and a freshman at Clemson University, Stella meets Charlie, who, like her, has long been keeping others at bay. Though his disposition is kind and gentle, Charlie is a boxer, and his world only reminds Stella of elements of her past she would like to forget. When both realize that they have a safe place in one another, they start to overcome their fear of other people, and of letting them get close enough to matter. In many ways, this is a story about allowing people to matter to our lives, and about meaning something to them, in turn. At some point in your day, in your routine, in your life, you will matter to someone. That is a special kind of power, do be careful with it. "We love people not so much for the good they've done us, as for the good we've done them." Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace

This novel is an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Blind since birth, Elle Duncan has only ever known darkness, but lack of sight has never hindered her ability to perceive the beauty of the world. Her kind and gentle soul is put to the test when her father sustains an injury that threatens their livelihood, and in desperation, he turns to the most unlikely of saviors-the Rossetti Beast. Don Rossetti is bound for an unchanging fate. He is bad-tempered, with an equally dark and scarred countenance to match. With a heart forged of ice and a soul confined to darkness, he has surrendered to a forlorn existence. But when a peasant man arrives from the village begging for a favor, he is compelled to aid the farmer in exchange for a price-a price that Elle will be forced to pay. ----- In serious need of revision! ----- Wanna-be journalist Kate Santoro would do anything for the scoop. Anything. Including finding her way into an underground club exclusive to only those in the Genovese mafia and the beautiful women they employee. What could be more perfect? She would stick to the shadows, snap a few videos, and write the biggest story New York has ever seen, therein making her a legend! Easy as pie. Until she gets found. A series of blatant lies and lucky breaks later and she is mistaken to be one of the workers underneath. While many might be terrified of this predicament Kate couldn't be more excited. The freedom to roam the area and talk to the members of the infamous brotherhood will leave no rock unturned. All she has to do is keep her cover until the night is over and the workers go home. What a fantastic position she is in! There are just two problems. One being him. Alessio. The Don, the Godfather, the Capo di tutti capi (the boss of bosses) who has taken a keen interest in Kate. Even that is something she could probably handle for one night. Except problem number two. They don't leave. Not at the end of the night, the end of the week, or even the end of the month. Alessio's interest in Kate threatens to expose her, something she would surely die from. He knows she doesn't belong but it's not as though she could have just waltzed in, right? By the time Kate realizes that not even the greatest scoop is worth the price, she is in far too deep to call it quits now. ~~~Praise for When The Sun Goes Down~~~ Natasha427: "It was so captivating that I may or may not have spent the last several hours holed up in my room frantically scrolling down to read more. Of one thing she was sure: it can't be normal to get addicted to a voice, no matter how charming it is. It all started because of a small mistake. Something so trivial, it could happen to anyone. Could it be that there are no coincidences? *Awesome new cover made by the lovely @thelessthanthreegirl. Thank you so much! I love it :D*
