Complete!!! Hiccup was always a nuisance to the vikings on Berk. He was viewed as a runt, a shame, and a screw up. That all changed when he became the top of dragon training, and finally gets the chance everyone thought he only dreamed of. To kill a dragon in front of the entire village. Stoick was proud of his son, he had almost lost hope in him. Now, he proved everyone wrong, or so they thought. Hiccup wanted nothing more than to have this chance his entire life! However, that was before he met and bonded with Toothless, a night fury he had shot down weeks ago. Now, he wanted to escape, but not without attempting to convince the vikings that dragons weren't the real threat. He thought his monstrous nightmare match would be the perfect setting for such a feat. When things go sideways, when Toothless saves Hiccup, he has a choice, stay and try one last shot of convincing Berk, or flee with his best friend. He chooses the best option, he flees. Now, he is branded as a trator, a renegade. Stoick practically disowns him and he is never heard from again. five years later, Berk hears mighty tales of a grand hero who rides a night fury. Many call him 'Night Rider', 'Dragon Tamer', and 'Mysterious Rider'. Many doubted that this hero could be their traitorous ex heir to the Berkian leadership. After all, he was described as having a prosthetic leg, very tall, confident, and extremely buffed, while Hiccup was the opposite of all these descriptions. But... why then, has this new hero never visited Berk? And what will happen when he finally dose? Feel free to comment! I will also edit things I want everything to be amazing. Hiccup and Toothless left Berk thinking no one cared. Being the neglected child of Berk (despite his family, and being the heir to the village), Hiccup decided he'd had enough. He took Toothless and his most treasured belongings and high-tailed it out of there. When he runs into his long-lost mother, life looks up for Hiccup. He's found a place where he belongs. Meanwhile, on Berk, the village assumed Hiccup was dead by a Night Fury's doing and left it at that. Astrid and her friends, however, didn't think such. When a surprise trip overseas and an unfortunate turn of events allows the Berkians to find an odd nest in the middle of nowhere, they may prove that the lost heir to Berk isn't as dead as everyone thinks. //story takes a turn for the worse like halfway through bc i stopped editing it. also i wrote it when i was like 11-12

But while Stoick and Valka are trying to live while mourning for their lost son, Hiccup is living freely on a Santuarial island created by an Alpha dragon with his best friend, a dragon, the one who stole him, Toothless. Toothless has always told Hiccup that vikings are cruel, horrible people that kill dragons for the fun of it, and that he should stay as far away from them. But when Hiccup gets caught on a hostile, viking-dwelling island, he doesn't know what to do. The Chief's wife thinks it's unfair to torture a child like this, but when Stoick lays eyes on this boy, he has other plans. Will he and his dragon escape in time?
