𝐉𝐀𝐋𝐄𝐍, raised in the gritty streets of Chicago, lives by the rules of survival: kill or be killed. A feared name on his block, he's loyal, ruthless, and the provider for his family. But after a short bid in jail, he comes out with a plan-get money the smart way: music. Von's raw, real rap starts blowing up fast, but he doesn't switch up for the industry. He's still heavy with his set and publicly disses his biggest opps... 63rd.
Then comes 𝐉𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐈-quiet, but not soft. Jasani grew up on 63rd, deep in the heart of the South Side. Her mama died when she was 14-addicted, broken, and barely present even before she passed. Her father? Gone. Some say he's dead, some say he dipped. Either way, Jasani had one person who ever really looked out for her: her older brother, Chucky.
Chucky wasn't no saint, but he was loyal. He got into the streets young to make sure Jasani stayed in school and had food on the table. She hated his hustle. They were all each other had. Until... he got caught lacking one night and was killed. Word on the block was that Jalen's set had something to do with it. She never knew who pulled the trigger, but that pain stuck with her like a scar under her skin.
After Chucky died, Jasani shut down emotionally. Moved in with her grandma. Started taking classes and working a quiet job-trying to be better than the streets that raised her. But deep down, she carried rage, guilt, and a hatred for anything tied to that life. She promised herself she'd never fall in the streets, or fall for anybody in them.
The two meet at an underground area, Jalen just there and Jasani only there since her friend dragged her down there.
