In the not-so-distant future, artificial intelligence is banned because a technophobic cult called the Luddites has proclaimed it a threat to humanity. Torrin is a fifteen-year old autistic girl -- who just happens to be a programming genius. Angry at the Luddites' unfair rules, Torrin creates an AI named Alan, who becomes more like a human every day. Ametis-Ra, daughter of the god Horus and goddess Hathor has finally been awaken from her illusion-spunned life. Her prophesized days have finally reached her and she must stand in power by her father and lead the Egyptian army against the darkness threatening them. Kha, son of the god of darkness Set, is moving against them--hell bent on taking over all of Egypt and later freeing his father from his punishment from the gods. Kha wants to redeem his father, he wants the Egyptian throne to go to Set. They have a raging war, the second one of it's kind, except now it is between the sucessors of the enemy gods, Horus and Set. However, even in the chaos and darkness, desires are not safe; not Ametis's and not even Kha's.
