In one universe, after the Temple bombing and the chaos that ensued, Ahsoka Tano chooses to stay in the Jedi Order, with the prompting of a strange voice in her head. It feels of darkness, and the more time passes, the more she begins to wonder if the Sith, whoever it is, has been trying to make her Fall.

In one universe, Anakin and Padme choose to wait until after the war to marry. But the Sith's plans are already in motion, so that alone will not be enough to save the galaxy, even though Anakin does not join Sidious. Instead, Anakin goes into hiding, vowing to do whatever it takes to bring Sidious down, even if it means fighting a war on his own as the vigilante called Vader.

After his death, Anakin awakens in his younger body at the beginning of the Clone Wars. He tries to reconnect with his once family while struggling to learn how to be human, if indeed he ever knew in the first place. For all that he longs to be around Obi-Wan, he struggles to trust him, and he failed Ahsoka once, so how can he trust himself to protect her?

Something shifts in the air around them, and the next thing Din Djarin knows, he and Grogu are... still in Mos Espa? But it looks different. And what's this about Jabba being alive? If Din accidentally adopts Anakin before Qui-Gon can take him to become a Jedi, well, that's definitely going to change things. It's not his fault, okay? He's new to this time-travelling business.

Deceit and distrust rip open rifts long thought healed, and as the machinations of the Sith boil to the surface, Luke and Leia must ask themselves, who's the enemy? The gray Jedi Anakin Skywalker will have to confront reality, would he let the world burn to save his family? This story is a sequel to Star Wars: The Good Ending, where Anakin had been able to save his mother in time, and the ripple effects show a very different story.
