Al-Andalus 1183. Lluna Valentia bint Al Mualim De Bosch is a Spanish/Moorish noble, fruit of an interfaith union that hoped to unite two conflicting faiths of the Iberian Peninsula. However, hope is a dream and the reality is that the family's influence, wealth, and titles are in danger with the constant friction between the Almohad Caliphate and the Christians wishing to retake their Iberian land. At nineteen, Valentia is the only remaining daughter to be wed and their only hope to salvage their social standing. At the other side of the Mediterranean, the terminally young King of Jerusalem fears for the future of his kingdom and his struggle to provide a successor that will lead in example. In a last act of hope, or desperation, word is sent out that the King looks for a betrothed. Many countries receive the news, but few people are eager to answer. Yet in Al Andalus, it means a seizable opportunity for a certain family. It is no doubt a convenient solution for both sides. But the convenience is flawed, complicated. Because of the King's illness, it remains to be seen whether there is a point to it all. And, after all, nobody asked what Lady Valentia thought about the whole situation. Can this unwilling bride give her life and love away to a leper? And what is that which makes her the only one who could? Something far more sinister than a disease lurks ahead. Factions and alliances will either cooperate or sow discord. With such chaos, even the most unlikely of alliances may not be out of reach for this Kingdom. //the mature tag does NOT indicate smǔt, it indicates violence, blood, and heavy topics (and perhaps mildly spicy scenes (but no smǔt)) More disclaimers and warnings inside King Baldwin IV x OC || This is a long-fic and slow-burn so that's why the pace is so "slow" ALSO AVAILABLE ON AO3‼️

"Dark am I, yet lovely, daughters of Jerusalem, dark like the tents of Kedar, like the tent curtains of Solomon." Juliette Elnour is a legacy. But does she know in what way? This is what she sets out to search for in Jerusalem. A task made challenging by the conflict seething all around. This strife will be the least of her obstacles, she realizes, when she is sucked into a similar conflict... in a very different time. Presumed to be someone she is not by her hasty choice of gear, Juliette will become that someone, eventually blurring these identities and realities. Little by little and by pure chance, she will end up by the side of the King of Jerusalem. This closeness will make Juliette wonder whether someone who wears a mask will easily see through another who also hides in plain sight. King Baldwin IV x OC Assassin's Creed-inspired universe based on my dream concept of a new Crusades AC, a true return to the roots. But not an Assassin's Creed fanfic itself-it is my own work. This is like a separate romance tale that sort of takes place in the general idea of this fan concept universe, but the actual fan concept is not about this, does not include this romance or plot, and some characters may be from this story but not from the concept. A bit confusing, but it is what it is xd PROJECT (temporary synopsis and book cover)

The day Maria got the news was marked as the day of her death. And why not? It looked like the end. Nothing awaited. No more joy, no more embraces, no more beauty. No love, no sons, no daughters. Pushed away but not quite exiled. A sudden burden that her family has to drag along. How can they rid of this weight without losing their Christian decency in the process? Who would take in such a frightful-and secretly sinful-girl? How about a king who is also marked for death? This king needs of a way to prevent his exclusion to the throne he already sits on, and his forced entry into a more 'suitable' station for him. He sees no way to impede this... until he sees Maria. [A Greek tragedy-style short story consisting of few chapters with cohesive time gaps between them | like a compilation of connected one-shots, if you will]

Al-Andalus, 1183. ¿Quién acogería a tal espantosa muchacha?
