Given his halfa nature, he's fairly not worried about most parts of Gotham and given he needs less sleep now, he likes to wander campus and Gotham itself like he's a natural Gothathes...at night like the half dead-half living man he was. During these wanderings, he finds pieces of bat tech from fights. He figures it's safer in his care(and because he's really curious about the local vigilantes) so...he takes it. It's usually just tiny things that the bats- probably -wouldn't even notice gone and he has things to fiddle with now. Unfortunately(for the bats), he finds Red Hood's destroyed helmet and takes it back to his dorm to fix, figuring it would allow him to return most of the items he snatched without a second thought. He doesn't realize it has an active tracker in it so the bats, when they activate it and discover it on the Gotham University campus, reasonably panic and flip on the camera...only to come face to face with adoption bait using bits of their missing tech to fix the helmet. (Warning: There is a brief scene of vomiting)

The Second Giant War was gruesome. With only 3 of the 7 left alive, they demigods of prophecy left the camps. They were unable, or maybe just unwilling, to be in the places where their friends once walked. They chose to escape the world of demigods while they still could. They wanted to try for normal so that maybe, one day, they could forget any of it ever happened. They wanted peace and safety. Nico... well, Nico had other ways of coping. ------------- Nico had had a long life. 16 years old, plus however many had passed in that cured casino had left little joy in his life. He had lost his grandparents, his mother, Bianca, his friends, and then Hazel... he missed her more than he could bare. He only knew his sister for around a year before he had lost her, and not a single day had passed in the last two years that he hadn't thought of her. He couldn't go to either camp or the underworld without feeling like his chest would explode from the pain. He knew she was in a better place. Her and Frank were in Elysium with Jason, Piper, and the rest of the heroes that died in the wars. She was at peace. Maybe she had even managed meet his mother and they were watching him now... though he honestly hoped they weren't. Nico di Angelo feels like he's trapped at camp so he shadow travels away for a few days. He ends up at Hades Palace and Hades has a special request for him. 3 months after restoring Apollo to godship Will and Nico find out that Jason has been seen alive in America The duo go off to find him and bring him home when sources lead them to Gotham City the duo are found by Batman and eventually adopted by Bruce Wayne... 2 months after dying Jason wakes up in the Lazarus Pit with no memory of how he got there and is adopted into the Batfam under the name Jason Todd a month later when Nico and Will come to Gotham looking for him he releases that this could ruin his whole life with the Waynes.... As the 3 demigods meet again they start to wonder who is behind all of this and if there is a bigger meaning behind all of it?

I've seen a lot of fan-fiction crossovers where Nico shadow travels to Gotham and meets the batfam, but what if he already had a life there; one that he sometimes escaped to. What if his dad, Hades, had a fake identity as a rival billionaire to Bruce Wayne. What if Nico goes to Gotham one school year for a new experience, and meets the batfam that way instead.
