Can her light lead them through the darkness? Or will she doom them to a life in shadows? Freesia has spent almost her entire life in darkness, locked in the depths of a dungeon deep below the Autumn Court Manor. Her father, the High Lord of Autumn, put her there after her mother died when she was sixteen. Freesia was suddenly, after five centuries, ripped from the depths of her darkness and placed into the arms of Mor, her childhood best friend, and Azriel, the shadowsinger that saved her life. Can Freesia re-adapt to the world she knows so little about? Or will she crumble under the pressure of what she has become?

** All rights to characters and plotline belong to Sarah J Maas, this is completely a fanfiction and I take no credit for the characters and places that Sarah J Maas has created** Born with wings that should not exist, Evanora (ev-uh-NOR-uh) has spent her life hiding in the shadows of Illyria. Concealed by her mother's desperate invention - a dark paste to mask the white leather of her birth - she learned early that survival meant silence, invisibility, and secrets. But when grief, fear, and fury spark a forbidden light within her, Evanora's secret can no longer remain buried. Hunted by her own people, she finds herself swept into the heart of the Night Court, where power, danger, and beauty are entwined. There she meets the Shadowsinger - unreadable, relentless, a warrior who sees too much. Tasked with training her, he becomes both her harshest trial and her most unexpected tether. Yet as whispers of war rise across Prythian, and the Autumn Court stirs schemes that could burn the realm to ash, Evanora must confront what she is, what she fears, and the truth of the bloodline her mother died to protect. In a court of fire and darkness, of love and betrayal, light may be her greatest weapon. Or her doom. [Also on AO3 under stvrlightt_cerys]

I spent fifty years avoiding my cousin and his family. Sitting here opposite of the most beautiful male I'd ever known, I cursed myself for those years. I could have met Azriel, Shadowsinger of the Night Court, a little sooner. After a lifetime of struggling to survive, Alya Song finds herself being dragged to an execution post and tied up by a War Lord of the Illyrian War Camp, Alhallow. After the weeks they'd spent torturing her, she had no fight left. So she closed her eyes and tried to think of a better place. Her mother had told her stories of a city with music and magic and light, with joy echoing in the streets, day and night. So, with death threatening to strike, she dreamed of the City of Starlight. She didn't expect to actually end up there, amongst her second cousin and his family. She didn't expect to be dragged into their ranks just as a War was brewing. And she certainly didn't expect for them to ask for her help. But then again, Rhysand, Feyre, and the Inner Circle were never the people they pretended to be, so 'unexpected' was a given.

LiaLina- "tbh, the fact that i almost scrolled past this absolute masterpiece of a book should be considered a crime. Also that I only clicked on it because of the turtle" The worst thing you will do is not give it a chance! I know, I know. It's an original character with Azriel. But does Elain, Eris, or Gwyn have a super awesome pet turtle? I didn't think so. Novalie does... and she also has a ton of other secrets (ones she doesn't even know about). She also makes Azriel pretty happy. And desperate. And sappy. And touch her and ☠️. And.. Azriel and her pet turtle turn out to be bff. I think. So far... I mean at one point they have a moment where I wasn't sure who was going to win.. but they do work it out. First there was The Shadows Between Stars now There's The Crown of Dusk... The Crown of Dusk is rising. The Night Court believes the war is over. But something ancient has begun to wake. Across Prythian, monsters gather. Illyrians rebel. Creatures long imprisoned begin to move. All of them following a whisper. A name. Ariella. As the truth of her power unfolds and the lost Dusk Court stirs. Ari must face a terrifying reality. Some crowns are not chosen. Some are claimed. And the power growing inside her may destroy the very people she loves most. The Shadows Between Stars will continue in Book Two. First Chapter out now. Gwyneth had always felt connected to her faith, a higher power presiding over her. That faith had shaken that devastating day those years ago, the day that went on to haunt her every nightmare for years to come. She's still trying to come back from it, to not only restore her faith in life and love, but her faith in herself. The sanctity of her spirit- she prayed for resolve. Every punch was a prayer. Every mile was a hymn. Until her knuckles bled and her knees gave. Azriel had been surrounded by darkness his whole life, a poison on his world, on his being. He exercised restraint in his every waking moment, banishing that darkness within himself. Some guessed of the strain it put on him, but no one knew the extent of it, how deep his scars ran. It was better this way, he was sure. He had always thought that if there were a higher power- which he wholly doubted- such deities must loathe him to have burdened him such darkness. He hadn't much faith in the gods anyway, much less faith that he could sway their opinion on him. But Gwyneth and Azriel did have one thing in common: the quiet fight within themselves. They only knew one way: to go about it alone, couldn't fathom letting another in. But there's a magic in finding someone who is your equal but opposite, something transforming. And frankly, Gwyneth and Azriel could both use a little magic. All characters owned by SJM in the ACOTAR series. Story takes place after the events of ACOSF. Aligns with the events in my other fic: A Storm of Flames and Deceit. I haven't finished Crescent City, so this story takes place outside of the events of those books as well. Torn between lust and self-preservation, Stella struggles to fight her growing feelings for the handsome Illyrian, growing ever more comfortable in the City of Starlight and in his arms-in between her various murder attempts of course. 🏹 🌟 "Did you have to go for the wings?" He asked her irritably and she rolled her eyes, leaning backward to avoid a slice at her chest area. He could have swept her feet out from under her in that moment and she knew it too-it made her even angrier. "I don't know, you did have them out!" She hissed, jabbing at his thigh with her boot as she slashed at his pectoral in retaliation. "Maybe try not making them such a big target next time!" She managed to catch him on the back of the arm. He smirked at her, darting backward for a moment, sword still raised in front of him. "Quite the compliment." Her brows furrowed in confusion and he laughed, tossing his head back.
