Your Utopia, Our Dystopia

"You'll know it's too late.
When blood flows and death comes forth.
In the beginning you saw our cries for help as nothing.
Denied our salvation.
We sought out for the comfort you could have gave us.
Pleading all the way, but you kept your head high.
The world would be perfect in your eyes so you rejected us.
Then the silence arrived, and you still refused to believe.
The dying inside showed on the outside.
With your back turned you walked away.
You put us out of your mind.
Locked us away in the dark, and then we saw the wrong way.
Our death screamed louder than our cries for help.
Now that we're long gone, you blame it on us.
Your perfect world is now minuscule.
You could have stopped it, but instead you let us do it.
We only knew of one way out and so we took our lives."
