At 25 years old, Izuku Midoriya has built a quiet, fulfilling life for himself as a kindergarten teacher. He spends his days surrounded by laughter, sticky fingers, and endless questions from curious little minds. It's a far cry from high school, where he was just another quiet kid trying to get through the day-especially with Katsuki Bakugo making his life a little harder than necessary. But that was years ago. He's long since moved past it. Katsuki Bakugo, now a rising-star chef, doesn't spend much time thinking about the past. He's got a restaurant to run, a reputation to build, and no patience for distractions. But when Kirishima and Mina ask him to pick up their five-year-old son from school one afternoon, the last person he expects to see waiting at the classroom door is Midoriya. They weren't friends in high school. They barely spoke outside of the occasional insult or glare. But suddenly, they're seeing each other every day, brought together by a kid who won't stop talking about how cool his teacher is. At first, Bakugo's irritated. Then, he's intrigued. Getting into fights and earning a three day suspension wasn't what he was expecting to go through, for his first week. However, once he returns to school, determined to be good, he runs into someone. Katsuki Bakugou has always been very cocky. He's never cared for anyone but himself, always getting himself into trouble and not giving a damn about the consequences. He's only 16 when he first gets involved with the police, and 18 when he decided to shoplift with his friends. Only, this time, he was caught. His mother was the one to talk him out of trouble, and then scolded him on the way home. "You're eighteen, you're an adult now. You're gonna go back to school, or get a goddamn job. If you don't pull yourself together by the end of the month, you're out of the house!" Mitsuki screamed, frantically waving her hands around as she dragged her drop-out son to the car. "And pull up your damn pants, I'm not raising a gangster! You have until tomorrow to make your decision." She continued, smacking the blond's arm. The young man didn't give a damn, and refused to make a choice. So his father made one for him - He'd be working at the local library - with his grandmother. Izuku Midoriya is known as the quiet, shy kid. He's only starting his senior year, and excited to graduate so he can head off to university and into his dream job. He spends most of his time studying - although he doesn't need to, he's naturally smart and only reviews his notes out of boredom. Which is why he thought it'd be best to get a job. He'd be able to make money, and do something productive out of his free time. He started working at the library after finishing his junior year, and fell in love with it, so he stayed longer than expected. A simple, quiet job, where he got to meet new people. His only coworker is a sweet old Spanish lady, who talks a lot.
