Monsters. Fairytale creatures. Aboriginal deities. These are only some of the things that Christopher Pierce has to deal with in his everyday life. It's just that "everyday" happens to be filled with strange, magical, and most of the time unpleasant things. Chosen as a Knight, a champion of humanity, and the rightful wielder of the ancient blade, Gram, Chris does all he can to protect the denizens of New York City from threats they aren't even aware of. It's during a supposed vacation-slash-business meeting assigned to him by his dissociated sister however, that Chris finds out what it really means to be a Knight as he clashes with forces even more terrifying than the darkest of gods and monsters. Note: If you're reading this for the first time, read the [COMPLETE] one. I tried re-editing the whole thing and haven't gotten around to finishing so there will be inconsistencies (like originally, the story was set in the Rockies but in the re-edit, I've moved them to somewhere in Europe).

The five cities of man surround the Sea of Dekatos. The ancient city-states are filled with towers, stone pyramids, soaring catwalks, arching bridges and jade castles. In Yang, where nightly winds blow in gusts of hot sand, they raise an army of heavily armored footmen. Bowmen of Lau Cing, with copper weapons and bronze chainmail, train to fight even during heavy desert storms. Formations of swordsmen pour from the pagoda's of Hecai while Anshi fields a legion of grim, dedicated female warriors. The city-states wage constant war until a new enemy threatens. Blue scaled aquatics rise from the sea, water streaming from their iridescent scales, and the five cities face a new and more terrible enemy.

Every faery is born with a gift. Every gift is used for the good of fae existence, but when a troublesome faery is blessed with the greatest of abilities, the outcome doesn't look so promising. Nahtaia is a mischievous faery with one of the greatest of gifts; distortion. After accidentally turning a human boy into faery size, her powers are immediately seized by the Jaydürian Voices (deities) and banishment is a likely punishment. Luckily, the Minister of Fae Assignment is unaware of her mistake. With the help of a pine faery named Oren, Nahtaia must find a way to change the human back to his natural state and regain her abilities, all while keeping hidden from the keen eyes of the Ministers of the faery realm lest she be stripped of her wings and doomed to a life without the one thing she loves most; magic.

But in order to get the Haze she must put herself in the way of the Justicars and face their terrible thirst for punishment. Can Rose and Jay play the game and reach the next level in their quest for escape, or will they lose everything? This is a self-contained novelette that serves as a taster of my current work-in-progress, the full-length novel Troglodyte Rose. This is loosely adapted from a novella published in 2009 by Cadaverine Publications, which was a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award. D.I.V.R or Disease Immunity Vaccine Rejection all began from a liquid found on the new planet, Nasdar. This new vaccine was made with the liquid and was said to protect and cure all diseases imaginable. Little did they know that they were injecting humans with alien genes. A couple of weeks after being injected, people started to become ill. The illness ate away at their bodies before their skin became a sickly gray, their eyes became pitch black, and their teeth elongated and became jagged. The creatures became hungry for human flesh, to eat and to dissect. This is a story of a Safehaven trying to gain back Earth. An alien apocalypse was the last thing these young people were expecting.

Chemistry mixes as the two begin to realize that they need each other's help if this revolution is ever going to take action.
