Yu Jimin, also named Karina, never expected her quiet Wednesday afternoons to change. Enrolled in a beginner cooking course mostly to fulfill her abusive and hot tempered boyfriend's desires and try something new in life, she keeps to herself, measuring spices with care and sticking to the rules. That is, until her usual instructor takes a sudden leave-and in walks Kim Minjeong, also named Winter.
Minjeong, a young substitute teacher with a reputation for being a rising star in the local culinary world, is nothing like the stern chef Jimin's used to. She's at first cold and emotionless like a rock. Slowly, she reveals herself more : confident, playful, and surprisingly hands-on, encouraging creativity over precision and constantly reminding the class that mistakes make the best memories.
At first, Jimin's flustered by Minjeong's energy, her teasing smile, and the way she gently corrects Jimin's knife grip, fingers brushing ever so lightly. Minjeong, on the other hand, notices Jimin right away: the way she focuses too hard, how her eyes light up when she gets something right, and the shy pride she tries to hide.
As the weeks go by, Minjeong gives Jimin extra tips after class. At first it's just technique, but soon it's late-night recipe texts, and soft moments stolen between boiling pots and rising dough. Their connection deepens, wrapped in secret smiles and growing tension neither of them fully dares to name.
But Minjeong's time as a substitute is limited, and the unspoken question grows between them : what happens when the course ends?
