This is the completely rewritten second edition of Unbecoming Humans. It's bigger, it's gayer, it's everything the first edition deserved to be. Please note that this rewrite is currently in progress. The end of the current rewritten chapters will be marked. With civilization on the brink of collapse, Aria's parents built Eden to be the cradle of the next evolution of humanity, but survival at Eden is far from guaranteed. Aria has been little more than a puppet in her parents' games of genetic experimentation and control over the next iteration of humanity for almost as long as she can remember. When Aria meets Nima, the latest in a long line of victims lured to Eden by the promise of safety, a spark rekindles her cold heart. Aria can't sit idly by while Nima becomes her parents' next prey. The two must find a way to survive Eden's deadly experiments, or risk the greatest love they've ever known.

Scarlett and Harry have had a tumultuous relationship since they first met in year 7. From the start, they couldn't stand each other. Scarlett, with her ash brown hair and sharp wit, often found Harry's laid-back attitude and constant joking annoying. Harry, on the other hand, saw Scarlett as overly serious and competitive, always striving to be the best in class. Their clashes were legendary, with snarky comments and eye rolls exchanged in every class they shared. Fast forward to now, they find themselves reluctantly paired up for study sessions. At first, it was just about getting through their assignments, but as they spent more time together, something shifted. Scarlett started to see a different side of Harry; his humor became less irritating and more charming. She found herself looking forward to their sessions, laughing at his jokes, and sharing stories about their lives. Harry, too, began to appreciate Scarlett's determination and intelligence, realizing they had more in common than he initially thought. However, as their study sessions continued, Scarlett's feelings began to intensify. What started as a simple crush turned into an obsession. She found herself daydreaming about Harry, analyzing every text and interaction for hidden meanings. Her friends noticed the change in her behavior, as she became increasingly preoccupied with Harry, often prioritizing their study sessions over everything else. The lines between friendship and obsession blurred, leaving Scarlett feeling both excited and anxious about her growing feelings for someone she once despised.
