Owen killed hundreds of demons in his lifetime. It makes sense that he could've accidentally killed something else, too. Something else that was posing as a demon, but was most definitely not. It would make sense that the consequences would come back to bite him. Apo always looked for other intelligent beings out there like humans, angels, and demons. People called him crazy.
