Everyone at school knows Andrew Jennings. Missing an arm. Openly gay. But when he meets star athlete Ryan Sullivan in therapy, can friendship lead to more? ***** When Andrew 'Jacky' Jennings ends up in therapy after an English assignment gone wrong, he doesn't expect to find his high school's star athlete, Ryan Sullivan, sitting in the same waiting room. After all, he and Ryan couldn't be more different: football captain, future valedictorian, and all-around nice guy, Ryan is the school's golden boy, while Andrew is known for his permanent snarl, being openly gay, and losing his left arm (along with his father and sister) in a car accident. But when Andrew learns they actually have a lot in common, he's surprised to see past the enigma that is Ryan Sullivan and his seemingly perfect life. And as the two boys begin to connect over their shared grief, depression, and teenage angst, they might just discover a little pocket of happiness for themselves -- if they're willing to fight for it. Noah Hayes is the kind of guy everyone notices-fun, confident, and the star quarterback of Riverview High. Everyone loves him, and everyone assumes they know him. But no one knows the truth that keeps him up at night: Noah likes boys, and he hates himself for it. He's built walls so high even he can't see over them. Julian Bennett is the opposite of Noah in every way. Quiet, shy, and sweet, he fades into the background without trying. But behind his timid demeanor lies a bold, unspoken confidence about who he is, even if no one else really notices. When Noah and Julian get paired together in class, neither expects anything beyond awkward study sessions and polite conversation. But sparks fly, and soon Julian becomes Noah's tutor-both in academics and in feelings Noah has tried to bury for years. One kiss turns into a secret relationship, and Noah finally allows himself to feel something real. For a while, everything seems perfect. Until the pressure catches up. Torn between the world he's built and the world he secretly craves, Noah makes a choice that shatters Julian's heart and leaves them both broken. When Julian shows up at one of Noah's games with his friends, Noah pretends not to care. But on the field, with the roar of the crowd and the ache of regret, Noah realizes he's at a crossroads. Will he keep running from himself, or will he risk everything to prove that what he and Julian had wasn't just a secret, but something real?

"No," "Why not?" "Because I'm not going to jump off the flippin' bridge!" *** Joshua Goldmann was seemingly the perfect boy of the perfect small town, Willowcreeks. [bxb] Luke had always suspected that he was gay. There's a very big difference, however, between thinking you 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 be gay, and having a pretty boy naked and underneath you in the backseat of his car. *+*❅*+* Lucas Donovan had always kept his life on a tight leash. Between high school, hockey, and helping take care of his family, there was scarcely room for romance-not that Luke minded. Girls seemed too complicated, too messy, and too damn stressful when they came with any intention beyond quick, drunk sex. The "spark" was all fairytale bullshit, anyways... or so Luke believed. It was funny, really. All it took to change Luke's mind was getting laid in the backseat of the car of a boy with big, blue eyes shrouded in an even bigger mystery. *+*❅*+* Rankings: #1 friendswithbenefits #2 skating #4 boyxboy #4 comingout #8 bisexual #7 ice #22 gay *+*❅*+* Cover Photo: Kelli Clintock Cover Design: tragicvenus

What are we without flesh and blood? Are we nothing but a beating heart in a ribcage, a marching soul inevitably leading to our demise? Or are we here as a test of loyalty to our God, a God we do not know but must trust? And without this trust, we will be punished indefinitely for questioning his divinity. And what is a sheep without his shepherd? Without God, are we nothing but sheep led astray? How will we be guided to the light without a shepherd on earth? Should we trust our shepherd to tell us the truth? Or will we be covered in the blood of the lamb? A shepherd with blood on his hands could infect his flock with poison. And with this poison, he has control. And to Luke, this poison is all he knows. His seventeen years of life have been devoted to nothing else but God. He wakes up, goes to school or church, and sleeps; rinse and repeat. There is no place or time for anything else in his life, such as television, going out with friends, or discovering new hobbies. His father, Pastor Ivy, ensures this. His life purpose will be to serve the Lord and nothing else. A purpose that Luke believes is the right way. What else would there be to life? He hadn't questioned this until he met Gabriel, a man who was the complete opposite of him. A man who was strong in his sense of self. A man who didn't bow to anyone or anything and stood firm in his beliefs in The Church of Satan. A man who Luke feared. But also a man who felt like home to him.

At first glance, nobody would be able to tell that Nathaniel Jean had a problem. Or second glance, or third, or fourth. After all, he had everything. He was a captain of his school's soccer team and one of the top players in the state. He had a big house and money to spend. He had family, he had friends, he had fun, he had faith. He never meant for it to happen. He never wanted to look at another man in the way he should have been looking at a woman. The idea had disgusted him for most of his life - living in a heavily Catholic town with heavily Catholic parents, homophobia was the only response he knew. That didn't change when he first realized that he didn't like girls. No, Nathaniel Jean was still homophobic. He hated the idea of a man sleeping with another man. He was raised on the notion that all gays went to hell, and he believed it. He despised them, and so he despised himself. Nathaniel Jean was more fortunate than most, because help did arrive for him. Help by the name of Lucas Morgan, they boy he'd always known but never known. The boy with big dreams and bigger talent. The boy that changed Nathaniel's life over the course of their thirty-six week long senior year.

Luca Bakker, a football jock with haunted eyes and a pretty Dutch accent. And Theodore Hart, a shy kid from school who works at the local pet shop. The idea that the two could ever cross paths - let alone build any sort of relationship - was almost laughable. And yet, here we are. Laughing away.
