But then, things really do change, because perhaps Jamia's matchmaking abilities aren't quite as shitty as Frank reckons, and perhaps this 'social gathering' he's dragged along to, does have some benefit to him after all. And perhaps, Frank will draw a face to the name of Gerard - Mikey's older brother, who really despite living in the same town, is worlds away from the reality Frank's stuck in. And on the subject of the unlikely, will Mikey ever finally figure out that Alicia Simmons really doesn't give a fuck about croquet?

Book #1 Frank is a sixteen year old boy who has had a tough life starting when he was six. His mom would bring home men and while they wouldn't lay a hand on her, it was open season on Frank. Mikey is a nineteen year old man who was kicked out of his house by his parents on his eighteenth birthday with no money and no place to go. He works at odd jobs and trys his hardest to do well. Frank. That's who I always thought about. Frank Iero... A guitarist for the band I'm in, My Chemical Romance. We've been friends but I've always felt more towards him. I think I have a crush on him, like a teenage crush. I loved every little thing about him. How he's changed his hair over the years, like I have, and how he has it now (brown, kinda long). His perfect hazel-green eyes. His personality, personally my favorite thing about him. He's always energetic. And, let's not forget how short he is. I think he's okay with us calling him short nowadays. But, yeah, I could go on. Thing is, I didn't even know if he liked me more than a "friend". Like, back when the band started we had this little thing that went on but it didn't last. We'd share kisses on stage, and he'd be cool with it. He always said it was for the fans, and it was fun. Now, well, I don't think I've kissed him for a while. And I don't want to tell him how I feel because of his girlfriend. And right now, she's ruined my life.

Gerard is barely surviving until a new neighbor moves in next door, and for the first time in ages, Gerard finds himself with a friend that isn't his little brother. Gerard never imagined that one beautiful boy could change everything for him, but he can't ignore the way Frank makes him feel, or the improvements he has seen in himself. Gerard is aware that he is falling in love with Frank even though he knows it is wrong...he is seventeen while Frank is only thirteen.
