Buck has gotten a job in L.A as a firefighter at the 118, so him and Maddie move there. Maddie also has a job, she will be a 9-1-1 dispatcher. Everyone loves the Buckley siblings and wants to get to know them more. The 2nd year, they wrote how brick was getting serious with this one girl and possible engaged, blossom locked herself in her room for a week, she drank antidote X trying to kill herself but it only temporally took away her powers. She was walking home one day from school and got raped by a gang, Mitch found her and took her home. The boys came back the 3rd year and lets just say they're gonna fight for their girls. Buck wanted to go home. He wanted nothing more than to be back with his family and to go home. Things had been rough this last year though, first his leg got crushed, he had a pulmonary embolism, he was told he couldn't come back to work, and then there was a tsunami. Even with now being allowed back at work after making the mistake of filing a lawsuit, things were still a bit strained. His family and home still felt like they were an arm's length out of reach. Then, things get even worse somehow when he and the rest of the team get sent to see Dr. Wells after a particularly rough call.

He gestured to the envelope in a 'go on' fashion, and that seemed to break Eddie out of whatever stupor he was in. With one last confused and concerned look at him Eddie reached down and scooped up the envelope taking out the papers and reading through their contents. "I don't understand." Eddie said after seemingly having read through the papers at least three times. "C'mon Eds," Buck huffed out a mirthless chuckle, "I know that you know what a deployment issue looks like."

Buck is 9 when his sister leaves him and his family alone for her boyfriend Doug when she turns 18. Still at age 9, Buck realizes he's getting even less and less attention from his parents causing him to increase his reckless ideas from skateboarding accidents to playing with fires. He's craving any type of attention from his parents even negative. Bobby Nash firefighter Captain of the 118 lost his family in a fire. His firehouse gets a call of a reported house fire and the only person saved is a small kid named Evan Buckley. Without any family willing to take him, and the police unable to locate his sister, Bobby gets clearance to give the child a roof over his head. He was drawn to the boy, and he knows he can take good care of him.

Evan Buckley lives at home with his Mother, Margrette Buckley, and Father, Philip Buckley. They both are horrible, but Buck can't just move out, he has no where else to go. His Sister left 3 years ago, and hasn't heard fom her since, leaving him to fend for hisself. Buck applied to be a firefighter and he got the job, he works at the 118. Bobby, Hen, Chimney, and Eddie was all working there, then Buck came along. They all noticed how distant Buck is, he hardly muttered 2 words to them, but when something happens, he has no choise but to trust them.
