Although no one knew it, Desire was struggling. It was highly unbelievable because as a top worker in one of Lagos' most exclusive and influential night clubs, she was making thousands every night. All her other friends were living large, and building houses, so why couldn't she? Her father had died five years ago, leaving them drowning in a sea of debt. Her mother was sick, and couldn't do anything, so from an early age Desire had had to wear the mantle of responsibility. A twenty six million naira debt was on her neck, and for five years, Desire had consistently been paying it off; while simultaneously keeping a roof over her mother's head, and saving up money for school. Salvation came at last; but in form of the hardest, most handsome man she had ever laid eyes upon? General Babalola Halal. He was offering five million Naira for a whole month of exclusive sex. Pure, undiluted gratification. It was her job, and this offer was coming on a platter of gold. Even more tempting was the fact that it was the exact amount needed to be free of her father's debt. Completely. But he was hard, and demanding, and excruciatingly virile. Accepting this posed a risk far greater than millions. The stark reality of losing everything she stood for, and gaining nothing in return because a man like this never gave anything of himself. He was rich, five million Naira meant nothing to him. But she knew what she was getting into, she knew how addictive his touch was, and how hard it was to stay sane around him. Could she do this? Was losing her sanity a price she was willing to pay?

In a city where chaos runs deep and power speaks louder than justice, Major General Damola Olowe-feared, revered, and known simply as the Commander-rules Lagos's criminal underworld with a soldier's discipline and ruthlessness. His word is law. His presence, a warning. Backed by elite troops and an iron code of honor, Damola is the last line of order in a state slowly tilting into anarchy. But when a high-stakes raid ends in betrayal, an ambush leaves him bloodied and alone, and five of his own men try to assassinate him in transit, everything shifts. He survives by sheer will-and the unexpected help of a 'frightened' stranger. Damola gives him one thing in return: a favor. A single, open-ended promise. Three years later, the stranger returns-not for money, not for power, but with a request that will dismantle everything Damola has built. He wants Damola to protect his quiet, delicate younger sister, Adunni, while he travels abroad. The Commander refuses-until the debt is called in. What begins as a reluctant favor becomes a war of shadows, as Damola finds himself caught between growing feelings for Adunni and suspicions he can't ignore. Because Adunni isn't just innocent. She's a pawn. A spy planted to bring him down. And behind her is a man with blood on his hands-and a plan that could end the Commander's reign for good. But Damola didn't rise to power by playing fair and he was ready to fight until the very end. He took them down before, he could do it again. He would. Obey the Commander-or be destroyed.

BEING A TEEN SERIES: CLOCKING SIXTEEN (BOOK 2) Every teenage girl looked forward to clocking sixteen. Not that there was anything special about the day you clocked sixteen but the fact that you were sixteen already. Some many perks came with clocking sixteen. As for me, Olumayede Rachel, I wasn't left out in this expectation. Born with a silver spoon and extra loving parents, my familial life is perfect. Everything seems to be fine except that academically, I am a failure, in terms of friends, I don't have any except the clique I'm always trying to fit in. In terms of the relationships, the guy I like doesn't even know I exist. In summary, my teenage life was a mess. I tried desperately every day to fit in but the harder I tried, the more I felt I didn't belong there. 2 weeks to my sixteenth birthday, my dad gave me an assigment. To me, it was rather a funny assigment, he told me to discover myself and he would get me an iPhone. If I had an iPhone I would finally be able to fit in with my friends. I was excited and eager to finish the assigment until I realized that the so called assigment wasn't really an assigment, it was about me, it was me discovering myself. Like every girl who clocked sixteen experienced a dramatic change in their life, I wasn't left out as I also experienced a dramatic change too. THIS IS A JOURNEY OF SELF DISCOVERY. MORE OF LEARNING TO LOVE YOURSELF. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO LOVE YOURSELF. ©COMING SOON AUGUST 2020

. . . . . The man took her to a small office downstairs. It seemed he was the owner of the hotel, given how well he knew his way around. She sobbed quietly, her sister's betrayal hurting more than Halima's beating. Today, she had to find out that her sister had no heart. "Take this," the mysterious man passed her an ice pack. "Use it on the swelling." She took it from him. "Thanks." The man studied her. She looked so young. What was a young lady like her doing in a hotel while her mates were in school? The man wondered. Women of today have no shame at all. "What were you thinking?" he asked. "Excuse me?" she asked, cocking a brow. "What were you thinking when you followed that man to the hotel? Don't you have any shame?" "Stop it. Stop talking as if you know the whole truth. You don't even know half of the story, but you're already judging," she said. He cackled. "Oh, really? What I witnessed is enough for me. You sell your body for money. It's as simple as that." "Shut up!" "The truth hurts, right? Next time, you should think before repeating the same mistake." "Please shut up!! Please," she broke into tears. It hurts a lot. Now she's the prostitute. People will laugh at her if they come to watch the videos some people took. "Okay," he raised his hands up in surrender. "I want to go home," she stood up. "I can send my driver to drop you if you want." "No, thank you. Wouldn't want part two to repeat itself," she said sarcastically. "Thanks for the ice, anyway." A story about two sisters fighting for their rights. A secret they've sworn to keep from the world. One of these sisters has to take the blame for the other sister's wrongdoing, and there's no way this innocent sister can speak the truth. No one would believe her, except one man.
