Artys Arryn is the son of Jon Arryn and his second wife Rowena Arryn after his first wife died giving birth to a stillborn daughter, The Lord of the Eyrie had to remarry and that was Lady Rowena. The two of them tried for many years to let the heir of Jon be born but after 2 pregnancies being ended long before their term.......... and the birth of another stillborn daughter, both slowly started to lose hope.... hope that there would ever be born the Heir of Jon but just before the news came from King's Landing that King Aerys Targaryen had taken the lives of Brandon and Rickard Stark..... just before the news came that Jon would have to send the heads of his wards towards King's Landing and he rallied his banners his wife found out she was with child again. What could he do but to go to war? He did not wish to leave his wife behind who was already 5 months pregnant...... she was barely showing at that time and he had to fight..... they had to go to war. 11 months later when Jon returned back to the Eyrie he had not heard of his wife.... how could they? He was at war many times moving from place to place.... but he did not expect that when he returned home his wife would have been laid to rest. The Stranger took his wife but left behind a son..... he now had a 7-month-old son with piercing blue eyes and blonde hair like he had in his youth. A son that would become a knight...... that one day would be Lord of the Eyrie.
