Widowed cop Tim Bradford just wanted to learn to cook for his picky 9-year-old daughter, Lydia, but when he meets Lucy Chen, a warm and sassy cooking instructor, he gets more than he could have imagined. What starts as private lessons turns into something sweeter as Lydia bonds with Lucy, and Tim realizes the recipes aren't the only thing heating up. Lucy, Wesley and James are all kidnapped together, as an attempt at revenge against Tim, Angela and Nyla, due to an arrest they were all part of, back in the day. Will they be able to keep themselves alive long enough for their partners (or ex-partner in Lucy's case) to find them? This is set in season 7 of The Rookie; Tim and Lucy are still broken up, and all of the other relationships are the same as they were at the end of Season 6.

Set sometime after the events of season 6 in The Rookie. In a heated moment post UC mission, Tim and Lucy end up sleeping together. Lucy finds out she's pregnant. This is a fake scenario about 'The Rookie', Lucy is a rookie, she has a brother, Keith who is the Metro captain but she keeps it quiet until absolutely necessary. Everyone thinks that that is the final secret but boy were they wrong. Trust is shaken, and questions are being asked. How will everyone react after everything comes crashing down? Especially Tim.

Lucy and Tim were married and had a child together but no one met Lucy only a few people who knew.

In this story Lucy had a kid from when she was nineteen, and has an abusive boyfriend. She struggles a lot with leaving. "Tim: Lucy! Lucy: why do you even care?!? I'm just some rookie who went through some things! Tim: very bad things, that you haven't had therapy for! Lucy: so you think I'm not stable or something? Tim: that is not what I said! Just try and listen to me Lucy: i have been trying, but everything you say just makes it worse! Tim: I'm sorry Lucy, I'm trying! Lucy: trying for what?!? Why do you care so much about what I do?!?
