"You're late," she said, arms folded, eyebrows arched. He leaned casually against the doorframe, that infuriating smile tugging at his lips. "You timed me?" "I treasured the silence before you barged in." He took a step closer, lowering his voice. "Admit it... you missed me." She rolled her eyes. "I missed not tripping over your ego." He laughed, eyes gleaming. "Funny. Your smile says otherwise." --- They were opposites-fire and mischief, silence and storms. Aarav was the chaos she claimed to hate, but secretly waited for. Aisha was the calm he never knew he needed-layered in sarcasm, stubbornness, and quiet strength. She rolled her eyes every time he teased her... But her smile? It always gave her away. And him? (Under Slow Updates) A vow unbroken, a LOVE unspoken... Bound by FATE, torn by heart... --- "I wish I could forget," She whispered, her voice hoarse, broken. "But it's like my skin still remembers everything." Her hands were trembling in her lap, clenched so tightly her knuckles had turned white. Tears spilled freely now, no longer held back, tracing silent paths down her cheeks. He sat beside her, unmoving. His eyes never left her face-not pushing, not questioning-just there. She shook her head slowly, eyes cast downward. "They blamed me. For what happened. For what I couldn't stop." A soft sob escaped her lips before she could stifle it. "I didn't want to tell you," she said, voice cracking, "because once you know... you'll never look at me the same way again." Silence fell between them, thick with unsaid words. And then, barely audible- "I didn't survive it. Not really. I just... kept breathing." --- Avyay Acharya - a 29-year-old doctor, calm and composed, who lives a quiet life with his loving grandmother and playful younger sister. Love was never on his checklist. Book 1 of RUINED HEARTS Series Cold. Damp. The air reeked of rust and decay. My wrists throbbed, bound so tight the rope cut into my flesh. My breaths came in shallow gasps, the silence stretching-too still, too unnatural. Drip. Drip. Drip. A slow, wet sound echoed around me. The dim light flickered, casting eerie shadows across the floor. My stomach twisted as a thick, dark puddle crept toward my bare feet. Something wasn't right. The air felt heavier. The walls seemed to pulse, suffocating, pressing in. And then- The light flashed once. And I saw them. DEAD BODIES.DOZENS OF THEM. HANGING FROM THE CEILING, THEIR EMPTY EYES STARING STRAIGHT AT ME.
