The story begins with an introduction to the main characters, who are initially unaware of their powers. Tensions arise as Avida and Blaze meet; although Blaze has feelings for Avida, she is wary of him due to his reputation as a leader of the Havoc Mob Squad and a recent fight with Zaire. Meanwhile, Serenity harbors a crush on Zaire but struggles to express her feelings, fearing rejection, even though Zaire likes her back but also finds it difficult to communicate.
