Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes have weathered the storm of the Avengers' Civil War, the Infinity War against Thanos, a rescue mission to and escape from Soulworld, reconstructing the universe, and settling back into a "normal" life. Steve and Bucky were freed of their fugitive status and welcomed back to the US with the Avengers under the direct order of acting United States President, Sharon Carter. Vision has been put back together again. Tony and Steve have duked out their differences over whiskey and several games of Monopoly, which was spectacularly narrated by Rhodey and Bucky. Wanda adopted a little black cat, naming her Bellatrix. Clint "adopted" Bucky, much to Bucky's dismay. Steve just smiled and told him to roll with it, knowing that Clint has been hesitant to get attached to anyone new since Pietro died. Peter Parker adopted Natasha, and Natasha surprised everyone when she literally dropped from the ceiling in the new compound lounge and pulled a t-shirt over Peter's head. The shirt was black and, in red, it says "baby spider" in Russian. They've had a hell of a ride, and it's about to get wild.
