Colonel William Maxwell decides to bring the newly-promoted Ash to meet his 'parents': The U.N general assembly. Not all is well, however, as they aren't exactly fans of the alien who pulled one over the U.S government's eyes, but worse...they're dead. Who is responsible? Why did they do this? Where is the nearest sandwich truck? So many relevant questions...

The Colonel's plan had worked. He'd successfully lured his prey into the one environment where she was at a disadvantage: a very cold one. He and the senator would stop her here, or die trying. Ash, on the other hand, had no intent on dying here. She was a soldier. No, she IS a soldier, and would fight until there was nothing left of her but dust...and ash.

They could not contain her. They could not control her. They would not even understand her. Now, they were faced with their only option: to confront her. From silly, socially-inept sandwich addict to wise tactician, survivalist and battlefield commander, Ash was much different now. She was neither angel nor demon, but Colonel William Maxwell would find out the truth about her...one way or another.

Ash was becoming weary of this whole "maximum security prison" nonsense. She was tired of being shoved into a box and carted around. She was no 'Mary Sue', no comedic relief or foil; she meant business, and the hapless serial killers and gang members that surrounded her were about to learn that the hard way.

After the massacre in the prison involving everyone v. Ash, Maxwell decides to visit the prison's new warden and get a grasp on the situation. The senator makes some rather crucial moves against his biggest threats and recruits Maxwell into the fold of his plans. It seems like everyone's plans are nearing completion, but who's come up with the better one?

Ash is (finally) thrown in a maximum security prison, but Maxwell remains skeptical as to whether it'll be of any use. He's seen what she can do first-hand, and these are just regular humans. Meanwhile, forces that would determine her fate stirred in the background...

The Trio have returned to Earth to a much different place, one where a rising star in the political climate is stiring up some anti-alien rhetoric to make their lives much more difficult. Things aren't much easier for Maxwell, either, as he's been beaten down and nearly lost his job. He'll need to convince the girls to help him out, but Ash seems to be having some...issues.

The trio return to their home planet for...well, I guess you'll have to find out, won't you?

Ash, now reunited with her sister Lily, decide to join their mutual friend Pink back in the U.S for a night out on the town. With abilities like changing organic matter composition, changing clothing quality and fabrics, altering physics and resisting toxins like alcohol, what could possibly go wrong? It's hard being popular (I assume). The now-Colonel Maxwell is constantly calling Ash's sister, Lily, who is now living in China and overseeing Lucky Lily's Foods, to get some clue as to what happened to Ash. Not hearing from her sister wasn't exactly promising, and Lily wasn't exactly happy about the situation. Lily decides to take a competitor up on an invite to his sister's wedding, but all is not as it seems...and who's this Huichen, anyway? (recommend: read these in order, or they'll make zero sense)
