A/N- Despite all the crap I put my characters through, every story I write has a happy ending, because the characters deserve it. So, don't fret too much about the depressing things that happen in this. This is the sequel of Angel with a Shotgun. If you haven't read it, I suggest you do so before moving onto this one. The Novak's and Winchester's lives are going amazing. Dean and Castiel are finally able to adopt their first child, and Sam, Gabriel, and Lucifer's children are as happy as could be. Until now. Castiel is forced to join the assassin clan as the Novak replacement, Dean is police officer, all of them are facing discrimination everywhere, and Lucifer just might destroy the world. The only thing the families might have going for them is that Dean and Castiel's new kid is an absolute sweetheart, yet even that seems to carry a catch. What could possibly go wrong? Warning: This will most likely be very heartbreaking, upsetting, and dare I say triggering. You have been warned, so tread with caution.

He was always too tired to look up from that darn coffee machine to notice Cas, but Castiel sure as hell noticed him. With that bed hair that would decorate the top of his head every morning and Cas would pray for the attractive man to look up and notice him. Cas tried, and oh did he try, to stop staring at the green-eyed man, but after a while, it kind of became a reflex; to wake up, go to the kitchen, brew himself a cup of coffee and then just look up to see the man across the street from him doing exactly the same -except for looking up at Cas. Dean Winchester is the popular jock who plays on the football team as Captain and has the looks that girls die over. Then there's Castiel Novak, the shy kid who doesn't have that many friends. Dean and Castiel know each other and have been paired up in a couple of classes. Dean likes the kid as a good friend. Castiel has gone to Dean's games, mainly admiring him. He won't admit his crush for the guy until they're at a party drunk, playing truth or dare with spinning a bottle.

Dean Winchester was just the normal average Joe. He worked at an auto shop run by his uncle. He lost his parents when he was young. They were caught in a house fire. That was the only abnormal aspect they had. They have been mostly on their own their whole life with their uncle and aunt. An average day in the Winchester household went like this–they would be woken up by their aunt and the breakfast she made was already set on the table. Then, after eating Dean, Sam, and Bobby worked in the shop all day with limited breaks. Dean would be accustomed to a shower afterwards and then, getting a drink from one of the local bars before dinner. That was how it always went. Everyday managed to go exactly in that order for the past thirty-some years, always on point. Then, one day things went awry after an accident had occurred. The accident took an unthinkable turn for the worse. There was nothing they could do at that point, things would never be the same again. What they needed was a miracle.

Dean loses Cas, over and over again, at various points in their lives. But does he really? Takes place toward the end of season 10; MoC is still in play, Cas has his grace back, but can't sense Dean for the purposes of the story.

The past caught up to them. Dean's gone wild. Cas has a secret. Surprise, Mary's alive. Someone remembered Adam and they all almost die. Welcome to the sequel of 'The Haunted and the Hunted.'
