They had fought together in the Holy Grail War, and claimed victory over every opponent. They had fallen in love and gotten married. And then they said farewell, her soul returning to the Throne of Heroes and leaving him behind on the earth. Four year later, his world shifted. Literally. He had gone to bed in the woods in Japan, and woke up in a world with a pink sky. The land of Fairy Britain. The capital was Camelot. And a familiar Queen. His wife. Finally by her side again, things should have been perfect. But there was just one problem. Morgan's daughter: Tam Lin Tristan. Rin's servant was beyond infuriating. He treated her like a foolish girl! He wouldn't even share his true name with her, demanding that she figure it out herself if she was worthy of being his Master. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. None of it was. This entire Grail War was wrong from the start. The Grail War she had imagined was epic clashes between Heroic Spirits. That was not the Grail War that she got. She wasn't supposed to have to plot against her classmates, those she considered friends. She shouldn't be questioning if her teacher might actually be a servant. She wasn't supposed to wonder if goddamn Emiya of all people could be a Master. There never should have been this many witnesses. She shouldn't need to fight her sister... It just wasn't fair. But the Grail didn't care about fair, nor did it care for tradition. All that it wanted was for there to be a victor. And that a wish would be granted.
