And of course, we all love Varian, so he just had to be a big part of this as well. ;). This is the story of Princess Y/n of Corona, written from her perspective. After fleeing her old life with nothing but two duffel bags, a dying car, and too many things she refuses to talk about, Y/N ends up in Beaverton completely on impulse. The plan was simple: keep her head down, start over, and never let anyone get close enough to ask questions. That plan lasts about ten minutes. Because Mayor Jerry Generazzo keeps showing up. Everyone in Beaverton either loves him or hates him-and Y/N can't decide which side she's on. Especially when she starts realizing the man behind the perfect smile might be hiding just as much as she is. (Set during the events of the film)

However, when she came back, you learned to dull your heart to the world. You accepted now that the people of Corona would never love and cherish you the same way they cherished her. You learned what place you had in the kingdom. First was your father. Second was your mother. Third was Rapunzel. And you were just a runner-up. While Rapunzel had beautiful golden locks that damn near hypnotized everyone who walked by, you were born with two budding grey horns on your head. Some said it was a curse. Now you were something semblant of a goat. You didn't know yourself what you were. And you wanted it to stay that way. You wanted to be an heiress to a global superpower. You wanted to be a shining star of a noble. You wanted to be a queen. But Rapunzel marred that dream. You had your sights on that dream for years. Begrudgingly going with Rapunzel and Cassandra to meet some rumored alchemist to find clues about her hair, you met a boy your age, who was entirely uninteresting to you. After all, it's not like he would help you with your goals. At least...that's what you thought at first.

When Isabel meets a boy visiting Avalor who's an inventor and scientist just like her, she thinks she has finally found someone who understands her the way people don't. However, when it is revealed that the boy, named Varian, Isa must listen to her heart and to discover what she must do.

Taking place about a year after The Princess and The Alchemist, Varian and Isabel reunite at the Exposition of Young Sciences. While both are happy to see each other, they both have to compromise against each other, along with 3 other young inventors, in the Exposition to see who will be granted as the best scientist in the entire realm.
