Marinette Dupain-Cheng gathers her courage to confess her love to Adrien Agreste at school by giving him a pair of blue mittens to match the scarf she knitted for him years ago. Despite her heartfelt confession, Adrien gently rejects her, leaving Marinette heartbroken. That evening, as Ladybug, she patrols Paris with Chat Noir, who confesses his love for her once again. Still reeling from Adrien's rejection, Ladybug angrily rebuffs Chat Noir, leaving him devastated. Later, Marinette seeks solace on her balcony and spots a sorrowful Chat Noir nearby.
