It's 1984 and the summer before Tim's senior year and as usual he goes to the end of the school year party. He was only planning to get drunk but instead meets Faith, the cousin of his best friends girlfriend. She is only in town for the summer. They fall in love but as fate would have it Faith catches Tim kissing another girl at the back to school party. Well six years later Faith and her 6 year old daughter Kate are in Nashville. Coincidentally Tim has just arrived to Nashville and released his first CD. After bumping into Kate at the Bluebird, Tim sees the girl who stole his heart.
