Later on, he is told about Gaara being kidnapped, and immediately agrees to go on a mission to save him. He could not let one of his friends down! While on his and the rest of Team Kakashi's journey to Suna, he thinks about the one tail jinciuriki. He remembers his tragic back story, how much he suffered and he refuses to let him suffer any more! That's how friends are, after all. But...
