An AU rewrite of the Salem Strangler storyline with several twists and turns. How would it play out if John Black came to Salem in 1982?

John Black's world changed forever in February of 1995. Losing his son and the one woman who always held his heart nearly killed him. Five years later his marriage to Kristen is falling apart. His obsession with finding the last of Stefano's clones might destroy him... or possibly bring him back from the darkness he's called home for the last five years.

An AU story about Marlena's 1993 pregnancy. The blood test was inconclusive, John sends Kristen packing, and Sami never witnessed anything. A story of healing, and the final acceptance that fate is out of our hands.

This story takes place in early 1997, mere days after John married Susan, masquerading as Kristen, in the delivery room as she gave birth to Elvis Jr., or John Jr., whichever you prefer. You might remember a rather delicious kiss that John and Marlena shared in Kristen's hospital room in the days following John Jr.'s arrival, while Kristen was trying to seduce her 'husband' into bed and Marlena was struggling with telling John the truth about his 'wife'. Well, that's where this short story starts. I think we all know where it's gonna end....

Set in early '99 when Hope was Gina, John was being an ass, Bo and Marlena were confused, and I got pissed off. A look at what might have happened had Marlena decided to dip her hand in the Brady brother cookie jar one more time. And then got caught.

When they arrive, John and Marlena are forcefully separated. Stefano has John reprogrammed, making him a cold, emotionless mercenary once again. Marlena is left feeling alone and defenseless, trying to fight off Stefano's advances, while also trying to find ways to remind the man she loves of how much he cares about her.
