Everybody at Fairview High knew that Kyle Konstantinov, the school's biggest flirt, and Nath Santos-Rodriguez, the football team's wide receiver and biggest mystery, were close. It was almost odd, the stark comparison between the bouncy, friendly junior and the tall, brooding senior. On paper, it shouldn't have worked. But something in Kyle evened out something in Nath, and despite having nothing in common, their personalities mixed like peanut butter and jelly. No one quite knows exactly how or when they came to be, but soon they became a well known concept, as if they had somehow merged the idea of one another into their own presence. They didn't have a label for whatever they were, they just were. Until one day, they weren't. Nath and Kyle aren't high schoolers anymore. They're in their twenties, secure in their lives, put their past behind them. Neither of them have talked to eachother since that day, both convincing themselves that there's no other option - not with betrayal that big, secrets that hidden, lies that oppressive. But by either a devious twist of fate or a stroke of second-chance luck, the universe decides to bring them back together. The paradox only begs the question: can something so strong ever truly be snuffed out? Or is a spark only ever going to light into flame?

Book 2 in the Phobia Series: Book 1 'Monophobia' is on my profile. Genophobia can be read without it, but a lot of inside jokes, characters and events might be confusing. ~~~ Dante meets Flynn on one of the worst nights of his life, and he wants to forget about it altogether. But he can't shake the guilt, and wants to apologize to Flynn-mistake one, because what he didn't remember about that night was that Flynn is unbelievably charming. When they meet up to do exactly that, apologize, he realizes he is making mistake two: feeling an incredibly strong pull towards this mesmerizing stranger. He knows he shouldn't, but he can't help but feel this way. There's various reason as to why he shouldn't, actually, to sum up a few; his parents, his expected focus on his studies, and, of course, the fact he's seen Flynn kiss more girls than he's made goals. And that's saying something. And, last but not least, there's his genophobia.

Warning: RWB spoilers ahead. Some say the best love stories often take time. Emery Chernychevsky has had a crush on Cameron Brooks since he can remember. Watching him date different girls all throughout high school was nothing if not pure torture, especially when he knew he didn't stand a chance against any of them. Safe to say, he spent his single years in a long-term ache he did not once divulge to anyone, but even that did not come close to the night Cameron confessed. The night Cameron confessed his undying love for someone else. Realizing that he was hopelessly and irretrievably in love with Cameron wasn't easy, and finding out that Cameron was hopelessly and irretrievably in love with his best friend was no picnic either. Things weren't certainly made better when their friends decided to spend the entire summer holed up together in Blake's summer house, putting Emery's initial plan of getting over Cameron before he starts college into a ten-week-long agonizing pause. Of course, be that as it may, fate has had a nick of testing Emery's patience... as it only gets a little worse━then, a little better━and right back to irremediable worst of worst from there. Spin-off to Rage With Benefits. Can be read as a stand-alone but a number of references will be made from the first book.
