This is an alternative storyline to The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black This picks up right when Cardan takes Jude to his chambers after the she takes Taryn's place at the trial. Discovered by the High King, Jude must strike a deal with Cardan in exchange for her life. It is a different version of the story with more Jurdan time (and more spice), and a new sequence of events.
