France, Paris, 1940
Isabelle is a woman like any other in German-occupied France, trying to live her life as well as possible despite the rules and restrictions imposed by the Germans. She hates the soldiers who occupied her country, took away her freedom and that of her fellow citizens and proudly marched through the city, as if they believed themselves to be heroes, not monsters. Not to mention the Nazi ideology that Isabelle hates with all her heart.
Isabelle's hatred will melt away soon enough, though. When the FΓΌhrer of the Third Reich, Adolf Hitler, makes a week-long visit to Paris, Isabelle finds herself spending quite a bit of time with him. At first, having just a random encounter with him, then a few other encounters, those more on purpose than random. Over the course of the week, a relationship begins to form between the two.
Of course, Isabelle doesn't agree with his ideology and doesn't plan to, but she likes him as a person, not as the leader of an enemy country. She begins to lose interest in what he stands for, her feelings growing stronger. But those feelings aren't mutual. He obviously doesn't like her and sees her as a simple French woman eager to spend time with a powerful man like him. This will make Isabelle try her luck and let herself be carried away by her feelings, getting closer and closer to him.
Now, the question is, will a relationship develop between them? Or the feelings will disappear as quickly as they appeared?
