Sanemi Shinazugawa, a student athlete, who loves basketball and studying. He was somewhat liked but had some issues with keeping people close by in the past due to his anger issues, he was quick to lash out but he didn't mean it, so he often kept to himself to avoid this. He did like to do something, he noticed it helped his anger. That was riding his bike around town while listening to music. It calmed him. He was in his own world. Giyuu Tomioka, a normal student. A person you would see as a background character. He kept his head down and wore the nerd mask at school. He wanted to fade into the background and be invisible. But in reality he was outgoing. Out of school he was himself, the punk emo rock kid. He hid himself becuase in the past he was made fun of for being "too much" so he locked that part up at school so no one could see it. He did have a few hobbies but he loved to ride his skateboard while listening to music. One day, these two boys opposites of the same coin magiacally ran into each other. No. Literally ran into each other. Coming to the same corner they crashed into each other. They instantly started to yell at each other. Sanemi was less banged up from the crash, he had some scrapes but no blood. Giyuu on the other hand was only bleeding. From his nose and both his knees. Sanemi realized Giyuu was in pain and through Giyuu's complaints he helped him to a conveince store Giyuu pounted and avoided Sanemi's line of sight as Sanemi healed his wounds, Giyuu regonized Sanemi and he didn't want Sanemi to realize who he was, but it was too late, Sanemi had ran into Giyuu that same day and remembered him. From that moment on Sanemi and Giyuu formed a secret friendship, something only between the two of them. Then something else came along.

In this au, Giyuu is not the water hashira, but Sabito is. They both passed final selection but due to Giyuu's eye injury he is blind in his left eye and keeps a bandage around it. He has a mellowed out personality but smiles and expresses his emotions. Sanemi Shinazugawa is preforming the hashira training and since all ranks have to participate he met Giyuu and was instantly wooed by Giyuu's strength, he saw Giyuu as an angle to the point Giyuu kept leaving an imprint on his mind. He was an angle with an angle's smile. :)

He always hated the Water Pillar, He thought of him shit-ly. He hated how he acted towards the other Hashira, like he was better then them. It really pissed him off. Soon realising his real feelings towards the Water Pillar, he fells scum-ish. He has no idea whats wrong with him and why he has these feelings towards another man. This story is full of heart-breaking scenes, but also scenes that can bring you to tears of happiness. But it is also a story of relation, many people could relate to the feelings, or things that happen, and can pull the reader in to a pit thats hard to escape. It could be a pit of sadness, a pit of rage. Anything.

Shinazugawa Sanemi has spent his whole Hashira career thinking that Tomioka Giyuu was a emotionless,cocky bastard who thought he was better than all of the other Hashira,including him. But a certain day with a unexpecting turn of events changed his mind and made him realize that it was all just a misunderstanding. A mutual understanding and respect for one another bloomed between the two pillars. Than the mutual understanding grew to training together every week. Training every week turned into training together everyday and speaking more often. Training and talking together everyday turned into a unexpected friendship. And the new found friendship brought the pillars to the point of awakening new and unknown emotions that they felt when they were near each other.
