Hoping to find medicine, food, or anything else useful, I decided to search inside. The dead parted for me as I walked, silently moving out of my way like they knew better than to touch me. I expected empty rooms, forgotten supplies, and more walkers. Instead, I found Rick Grimes wandering through the hospital in nothing but a gown. He was weak, confused, and completely unprepared for the nightmare waiting outside. I should have helped him find his family and continued on my own, but there was something about Rick that made walking away impossible. The longer we traveled together, the harder it became to ignore the connection growing between us. Rick wanted answers about the world he had awakened in, but most of all, he wanted to understand me-the mysterious woman who could walk among the dead without fear and command them without saying a word. She doesn't just start all badass ready to end all like a lot of other ones I've read. She's naturally a cocky sweet person, so that's how she starts; how she ends up being towards the end is very different. I had only seen maybe three poly ones, so I figured why not give it a try could be fun. This is a polyamorous (polyandry) book, so don't act blindsided.
