Book 1 of The Wolf and Dragon Trilogy Series So often the balance of control is a fragile thing, and power can be usurped by a monster you once held in shackles. Creating the perfect weapon does not ensure your control of it. In order to stay in the game, you should always be on the lookout for what bigger fish lay in the depths of water you cannot see. Much like a lone wolf Elena keeps everyone and everything at a distance. To survive she'll throw away every last shred of her humanity and embody what her captors want. Her journey to power would have been far simpler, if not for Diego. The hostile environment she had dominated through brutality and an in-depth understanding of human psychology. He danced between both worlds, with a grace and charisma that came from innate natural talent. Pulling strings without ever revealing his true intentions. Would he be the undoing of all the power she had accumulated or did his eyes tell a different story? That he never hungered for her throne to begin with, perhaps he desired something else.
