Marlene Malfoy is a total contrast to her twin brother Draco, she has her own rebellious streak. She's a pureblood, raised in the same cold, elitist household, expected to uphold the Malfoy name, but she's always seen through the cracks of the death eater ideology, the pressure, the control. While she might be a Slytherin like Draco she has some of that Gryffindor bravery threatening to bubbling up to the surface one might even think Marlene meant to be sorted into Ravenclaw as she's clever enough to play her own game behind her family's back.
