Moving to the innercity of Jamaica is not something that any "country" girl is prepared for. Especially this feisty introvert. She had always been digusted by the "cruffs" who call themselves "badman". Hell, she's disgusted by men in general! "Nuh mix with dutty bungle", we always hear.... but I think we all know this: life doesn't always go exactly how we plan it.

✨ 𝐔𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 ✨ A man accused. A woman misunderstood. A love neither of them saw coming. People think having money means your life is perfect. That you've never struggled. Never had to fight for anything. But I know pressure. I know silence. I know what it means to build yourself in the dark. My name is 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐳-𝐑𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬. I'm 27, a surgeon at WestLake Premier Medical, and I come from wealth-but I'm not the girl who wants to be kept. I'm the woman who earns her place. Who dreams big, works harder, and builds the life she wants-one heartbeat at a time. Love? It's cute, but not on my to-do list. Then there's 𝐉𝐚𝐡𝐯𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐨𝐧. The media calls him a real estate mogul. The streets know him as the boy who went to prison for a crime he swears he didn't commit. Ten years behind bars stole more than his youth-it stole his faith in justice. 𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭. 𝐖𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧'𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬. He's dark, intense, and full of scars. I'm light, focused, and on a mission. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞? 𝐇𝐞'𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞'𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐟 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐈'𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟.

"You will only end up getting hurt." Habiba's breath caught. "W...what do you mean?" He didn't reply immediately. His gaze lingered on her for a moment, then he looked away as if their closeness was suffocating him. "Don't expect anything from this marriage," He whispered. "And most importantly never make the mistake of falling in love with me." His hand brushed her waist, not quite holding her and not letting go. "I won't." she whispered, though the words trembled. "Never." *** Marriage was the last thing on Habiba's list till she found out she was married to a millionaire, forced to leave everything she's ever loved behind while embracing a new lifestyle... My phone rings seeing zahirie's contact I don't answer but pressed declined, he calls two more times I declined each time Turning off my read receipts also. I search up a random video on Pinterest with a couple it looks like me but it's not "Enjoying my man's company," I post it turning my phone WiFi off closing my phone I placed it down Laying down i felt a rush of excitement . Getting up I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get ready for bed I hum Alkaline: Thug loving before exiting the bathroom i smile dancing around. I jump at the figure on my bed i touch the light switch "JESUS!," I exclaimed seeing an angry zahirie sitting on my bed with my phone in his hand. His eyes are red and low, he smells like a mixture of weed and expensive cologne Holding my chest as my heart pounds I don't move towards him. Getting up he comes over to me He grabs me by my throat not hard but so that I can feel a bit pressure "Who yah fuck wid,?" He asks his deep voice sending chills up my spine and down to my coochie. He reaches down touching my front He tilts his head "Betta," he says pulling away Weh him mean by dat? He grips my throat again giving me a look "Who dat yuh post,?" He asks as I don't answer he asks again this time voice getting deeper and grip tighter "A random video mi find," I say struggling to breathe he loosened his grip "Stop fuck wid mi yer," he says letting go of my neck moving towards the door "Suppose mi did ave man yah weh yuh woulda do,?" I ask he stopped turning towards me "Fuck around and find out," his tone is deadly and serious he sounds scary and the look on his face scares me "Turn on yuh WiFi and nuh decline man call ago call yuh as mi reach inna eh car doh mek eh phone ring out," he instructed leaving my room Not even a minute later he calls I answered on the first ring. His face comes in the camera as he smirks "Good girl," he stated driving off Wah kinda mad man dis mi go tek up pon mi head fada God?

In a society bound by tradition, Nneka's life has always been guided by rules. As the first-born daughter in her Nigerian-Jamaican family, she faces mounting pressure to marry before her younger siblings can even consider their own futures. Time is ticking, and her family's whispers are growing louder. Meanwhile, Kemar, a successful but commitment-shy bachelor, is tired of the constant matchmaking from his own family. They both long for the freedom to live on their own terms. When a contract marriage is proposed, it seems like the perfect solution. They agree to a year-long arrangement to keep their families at bay. Nneka can silence the pressure, and Kemar can have the peace to focus on his career. No romance, no strings attached-just a practical agreement. But as they navigate family dinners, cultural expectations, and the small, quiet moments of living together, the lines between duty and desire begin to blur. In a world where tradition and modernity clash, can a love born out of a contract grow into something real? Or will they part ways once the ink dries on their agreement?
