The title is a lie. Band geeks WILL hurt you. The case in point, of course, is the Cooperstown High School Marching Band, better known as the Black Parade. The administration at the high school isn't exactly known for its intelligence, so they have an annual tradition of sending the one hundred and fifty members of the Black Parade to band camp in Battery City for three days. At first, this year's band camp was just like every other year. The trumpets and the saxophones still hated each other, the freshmen still couldn't march correctly, Pete Wentz was still eating all of the pizza in the cafeteria, and Gerard Way was still trying to convince everyone that "saxy" was a real word. But things didn't stay normal for long. Told from ten different perspectives, this is the story of what happened that fateful year at band camp. Basically just one giant messy bandom AU. Also features Frerard and Peterick. Cover by @endlesstwilght.

❝I- what? What are you talking about? Who is this?❞ ❝Well the bathroom stall says that this number is the gateway to a good time, and unless you're trying to say that a bathroom stall is lying to me, I think I need a little more information to be sold. Do you have like a yelp page I could look up? Past customer reviews? Eli didn't think much about the city's newest so-called hero, but he supposed Vigilante wasn't all that bad. Granted, he was kind of a jerk and if he ever tried to kiss Eli again he was definitely getting punched. A story about a starving college student, making a living serving coffee and the local vigilante with a crush. - - - - - - - - - Highest rank #1 in Action, Wattys 2016 winner in the Trailblazers category! Full version of Second Edition available on Amazon and via Kindle Unlimited. Chris Sinclair fades under a dark cloud after losing his mother to cancer. On the cusp of adulthood, he doesn't know where he should go or how to get there. But watching life pass him by was never the plan, and when he is forced to attend a concert in an attempt to coax him out of his shell, he discovers that life might have more to offer. Dante Heron holds the audience between his delicate bow and the tips of his fingers. He plays the violin as if every heart is his to command, but the discipline needed to perfect his skills has left him with nothing to spare. He's a fire that burns too bright or not at all-unpredictable and demanding. When Chris is unexpectedly offered a job to travel around Europe as Dante's assistant, or 'friend', he surprises himself by accepting. Their journey barely starts before Chris realizes he's in over his head. Every step along the way is fraught with tension, and the farther they go, the closer they veer to a breaking point. Invisible strings are at play, stitched into Dante's life by those who should have taught him how to love. Perhaps Chris is right to be afraid, but sometimes, what you fear the most is what you can't afford to lose.
