Yunjin is a beautiful, wealthy teenager and part of the elite at her school. However, the reality is quite different. Deep down, she feels profoundly lonely and misunderstood. She's battling depression, though no one knows it. One day, without warning, she finds herself in a psychiatric hospital to help her recover. There, she meets another girl her age named Chaewon, who also needs help.

Yunjin is the school's top girl athlete and hoping for a chance to play on the boys football team. Everyday she would get a letter from a secret admirer, but little does she know that the letters are coming from Chaewon Kim, one of the most popular cheerleaders at school. Yunjin's school life in Yangpyeong Academy takes a turn when she meets the new transfer student, Kim Chaewon. The two are complete opposite sides of the spectrum; Yunjin being a complete outcast, and a known 'delinquent'-- Chaewon being smart and proper, already popular at school for hanging around the Student Council and for her good looks. Once their worlds collide, they navigate these new feelings of wanting to get to know each other when they shouldn't, and deal with the heavy burdens of their personal lives. --x-- Chaewon has never felt like this before. That warm feeling inside her chest mixed with the tense muscles in her body when this girl stood so close- it felt unfamiliar. The shorter girl threw the towel on the bed, drawing in a deep breath whilst her arms found their way around Yunjin's bare middle. "Yes?" She wondered. The tall girl placed her hands on top of Chaewon's, her thumb trailing across her skin as if it was second nature. She rolled her head back onto the girl's shoulder, her skin sticking to Chaewon's cheek as she looked up at the ceiling. "Why me?" The shorter girl blinked at the question. She tightened her hold around her friend, her hand sliding against Yunjin's cold skin. "Do I need a reason?" She wondered. They were quiet for a moment, listening to each other breathe.
